Government-issued ID is uploaded with the application so the record ties to the applicant's member profile. Applicants must be 18 or older.
Verification
Apply first. Verify next.
After the application is submitted, applicants move into verification inside the member portal. This is where Residerly confirms identity, connects bank history through Plaid, checks soft credit-score preference, captures background-check status, and records the required $1,000 security deposit.
Plaid bank history
Plaid reviews account ownership, balances, and two months of deposits. No W-2s or paystubs are collected.
Soft credit and background
Soft credit score of 700 or higher is preferred, but every applicant still places the $1,000 security deposit. Background check consent is required.
